1.) What kind of paint do you use?
We work exclusively with Angelus products. Each jacket is painted with Angelus Leather Paint - an acrylic-based paint designed for use with leather that doesn’t crack or peel; and finished with Angelus paint sealant, to ensure that each design lasts as long as possible.
2.) How long does it take to paint a jacket?
Paint time varies depending upon design, but each jacket takes somewhere between 15 and 30 hours to complete.
3.) How long does it take to process my order?
Since each F&F jacket is completely hand-painted and made-to-order, please allow for 10-14 working days for us to produce your item(s). You will receive notice of despatch, plus a tracking number to be able to track your shipment via the courier service.
4.) Is each jacket really made from animal-friendly leather?
Yes! Fig & Fenix is proudly committed to using a high-quality, animal-friendly leather, making all pieces suitable for vegans.
5.) Can I wear my jacket in the rain?
The paint shouldn't wear any more quickly if it gets lightly wet. However, it’s not recommended to expose the jackets to moisture for a prolonged period of time. Like with any treasured piece, we suggest keeping it dry as much as possible. Dry it of any moisture using a light dabbing motion. Do not rub or use anything abrasive on it.
6.) How do I clean and care for my jacket?
Jackets are not suitable for machine washing, machine drying, or dry cleaning. Dabbing gently with a damp cloth will clean the outside of your jacket, but don’t scrub or use anything abrasive on it. Leave to air dry. Keep out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Keep away from heat sources and sharp objects. Do not iron. Do not use bleach. Store in a cool, dry place with airflow. Avoid folding - if you must pack it away, roll to prevent creasing, and wrap zip pulls to prevent denting the jacket material.
7.) Can I place a custom order?
Some custom alterations can be made to existing designs, however, we are not currently accepting complete custom projects. Write to info@fig-fenix.com to inquire further.
8.) Do you offer complimentary shipping?
Yes we do! All UK, US & EU orders come with free TRACKED delivery by courier. You will receive a tracking number upon despatch so you can keep an eye on things.
9.) Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we offer international shipping outside the EU to a selection of territories. Costs will be calculated at checkout. All duties or taxes incurred are the responsibility of the customer.
10.) Do the jackets go through a Quality Control process?
Absolutely. Each of our jackets is hand-painted so no two are the same. That said, each one has to meet a series of strict requisites to be considered valid for sale.
